In fact BRTA is fictional. Although set in Ohio, the show was largely filmed in South Carolina. This vehicle was new to CARTA (Charleston Area Regional Transit Authority) as 3435. It was one of a batch of 36 vehicles for CARTA that were the last high floor New Flyers in revenue-earning service in the USA and Canada. For filming, it was given BRTA fleetnames but retained its fleetnumber and CARTA livery.
