Rik Mayall created the character of Redditch based investigator Kevin Turvey for the sketch show 'A Kick Up the Eighties'. This one off show allowed him to expand the character, and fittingly it's filmed in Redditch, hence the appearance of two different Midland Red Leyland-Nationals in 'Reddibus' local identity livery:
