One episode featured a West Midland PTE Daimler Fleetline, but should have featured preserved Midland Red 5479 (6479HA), a BMMO S17! Chris Martin remembers: “5479 was nearly seen in “The Grimleys”, as Gordon took it up to Dudley, but in the end, a West Midlands Fleetline was used instead. The fact that the vehicle involved hadn't been built by the time the series was set didn't affect the wishes of the director ( obviously not an anorak).”
