Beadle's Hotshots

(LWT comedy show, 1994-7)

Merry prankster Jeremy Beadle presents short clips made by members of the public. This is long before the advent of YouTube, Tik Tok, etc. (it'll never catch on), and it's an example of what was considered funny during the 'nineties.

Episode 1.01:
A lame spoof of On the Buses also includes a subspoof of the Village People singing group, and is filmed at Plymouth Citybus's garage.
Featured are Plymouth 159 (ODV203W), a 1981 East Lancs-bodied Leyland Atlantean in an allover advertising livery for Plymco Superstores:

Another identifiable is 151 (ATK151W), a 1980 East Lancs-bodied Leyland Atlantean, alongside Arrow Rentals LDV M743GDV, which also drives alongside a line-up of Plymouth Atlanteans:

120 (L120YOD), a Dennis Dart/Plaxton Pointer 2 new in 1993:

Episode 2.01:
Features a MCW Metrobus, new in 1985 as London Buses M1320 (C320BUV). It was privatised as part of Leaside Buses, and is seen bearing owner Cowie's fleetname:

With Beadle at the wheel, the bus morphs into Routemaster RM1536 (536CLT), the bus that was destroyed in 'The Young Ones':

Episode 2.10:
Apparently an unaired edition, but noteworthy for an appearance by a Leyland-National Greenway, London and Country 363 (PDZ6263), operating from Guildford garage. It was new in 1976 as Midland Red 562 (NOE562R) a Leyland-National, sold to Tellings Golden Miller (3562) in 1991 before being donated in 1994 for conversion to a Greenway:
