Worthy but dull retelling of the story of the first four minute mile, run by Roger Bannister at the Iffley Road track in Oxford. The catch is that this was made in Toronto, and the real Oxford appears only in stock shots. This might explain the appearance of an AEC Routemaster in a scene set in the 1940s.
