The Four Minute Mile

Dramatisation of the race to break the four minute barrier on the running track rather wastes its two coaches, both of which are interesting.
The first is this 1936 Leyland Cub SKPZ2/Park Royal, one of eight 'deck and a half' Cubs built for London Transport for a night-time service between the major London rail termini. They were numbered C106-11, at the end of the more conventional C-class Leyland Cubs. This is C111 (CLX548), now preserved after a spell with the London Fire Brigade (many thanks to Lloyd Rich for correcting my original error):
