“The film starring Simon Ward was made before the TV series of the same name, and told of the early years of the vet James Herriot. The opening sequence showed the character boarding a normal control saloon outside York station bound for 'Darrowby'” (thanks Chris Hough). It's JC5313, a 1938 Guy Wolf with Waveney body, with the fictional fleetname 'Darrowby and District', but new to Llandudno Corporation, and it also features in the first episode of the television adaptation.
