Sister Boniface Mysteries

(BBC cosy mystery series, 2022-5)

Sister Boniface appeared as a character in two Father Brown (2013-) episodes, and this nun, who is also a part-time forensic scientist, was spun off into her own series. It's set vaguely in a parallel-universe version of the 1960s, which is weird since it doesn't seem to match with the Father Brown timeline. It's not very good.

Episode 1.10: Crimes and Miss Demeanours:
Features a beauty pageant, hence the title. Typical of the lacklustre production values, this features UVE593K, a 1972 Bedford J2/Plaxton new to East Anglia Health Authority, but now preserved by A D Rains:

Episode 4.05: Killer Heels:
Features BHO543C, a 1965 Bedford CALZ30 with Martin Walter bodywork new as King Alfred Motors 543 and now preserved by the Friends of King Alfred: sbonif040501.jpg sbonif040502.jpg

Episode 4.08: The Happiest Family:

An episode that fully exploits the comic possibilities of a group of clerics on a bus (see Jolly).

Transport is provided by UVE593K, the Bedford J2/Plaxton seen in Episode 1.10:

There's even a close-up showing how the registration plates have been amended to UVE593 to make the coach seem older than it actually is:
