(ARD crime mini-series, 1971)
German crime show shot mostly in South Wales.
Episode 1:
Opens in London, with inevitable views of an AEC RT and Routemasters including an RML:
A meeting takes place on this bridge; I'm open to suggestions on the location, but a Red and White Bristol MW crosses the bridge, then either an RE or an LH:
This may well be the same MW on its way back:
Episode 2:
A Cardiff Corporation Guy Arab V:
Episode 3 :
Unexpectedly, a Midland Red Daimler Fleetline/Alexander:
Another Cardiff Arab V:
The climax of episode 3 takes place in Way's scrapyard in Cardiff East Dock, full of buses and Cardiff Corporation BUT trolleybuses. The grey coach nearest the camera is, I believe FWH302, an AEC Regal IV/Plaxton new in 1953 to Knowles of Bolton (from a photograph posted on the Internet by Phil Trotter):
The only other identifiable vehicle is 2706JW, a 1961 Burlingham-bodied Ford 570E new in 1961 to Don Everall of Wolverhampton:
If only the footage were clearer:
Ditto for what appears to be a Bristol LWL:
Fragments:
Meanwhile our man is still waiting among the Cardiff trolleybuses:
This appears to be a Cardiff AEC Regent V or Guy Arab on the left:
Our man is shot by a sniper, and a gunfight breaks out:
