(BBC reality/game show of sorts, 1987-95)
Jolly show which challenged former Treasure Hunt star Anneka Rice to complete a 'Challenge' against the clock by calling in whatever help she could. After a pilot show, the first episode, in 1989, challenged her to organise the conversion of ten buses into playbuses for the National Playbus Association in three days. I've identified eight of them:
RRC763L Bristol VRTSL2 Eastern Coachworks new as Midland General 763.
XRR131M Bristol VRTSL2 Eastern Coachworks new as East Midland D131.
WFS272F Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1 Alexander new As Edinburgh 272 but ex Lothian.
JUG520L Leyland Atlantean AN68/2R Roe new as Leeds 520 but ex West Yorkshire PTE.
SDA504S Leyland Fleetline FE30AGR MCW new as West Midlands PTE 6504.
GOG596N Daimler Fleetline CRG6LX Park Royal new as West Midlands PTE 4596
ONF676R Leyland AN68A/1R Northern Counties new as Greater Manchester PTE 7676.
RCU592S Leyland AN68A/2R Willowbrook new asTyne and Wear 592.
In the event, two buses were completed in the time, the remaining eight partially refurbished. I'm open to offers for the remaining two 'deckers.
These views from a compilation programme show the buses in convoy, although a West Midland MCW Metrobus appears to have joined the party, I'd assume as a support vehicle:
