(1995, Kate Winslet)
The movie opens with archive footage of Christchurch in New Zealand:
“Concerned the Parker/Hulme murder case committed by two schoolgirls in 1950s New Zealand; the girls and their mother are seen riding on a bus which I think may be a preserved
Christchurch AEC Regal. The characteristic pram hooks which were often seen on New Zealand buses can be seen on the front of the vehicle.” The bus is indeed Christchurch 290, a 1952 AEC Regal IV/Crossley stabled at Ferrymead Transport Museum in Christchurch.
“Earlier in the film the girls are seen riding on a tram. I think this scene was shot at the Ferrymead transport museum in New Zealand.” (thanks Alan Sinclair)
